1. What is Step2themic?
A: Step2themic is a Canadian nationwide tour that is looking to find the next Ultimate Urban star (Hip Hop, R & B and reggae) in Canada. To do this, Step2themic will conduct auditions in every major city in Canada to hear the urban star power that exist.
Open auditions will be conducted in each region in order to select individuals or groups that will be featured in the city showcases. Two individual or groups from each regional showcase will be select to appear at the ultimate nationwide urban challenge held in Toronto on April 15 2006.
2. When will the regional auditions be held?
A: The audition will be held in 10 cities across Canada of the of the regional finale, see dates below:

3. What does the Ultimate Urban Star receive?
A: The winner will receive a Dodge Chrysler 300, 10, 000$ cash prize and a major record deal!
4. Do I have to audition in the city nearest to me?
A: No you can audition in any city that is convenient for you; however we recommend that you do so in your local city.
5. What do I have to bring to the audition?
A: Auditions can be conducted in the following forms: Acapella / Freestyle (original lyrics), with accompanied music / beat of your choice.
6. Can a group perform?
A: Absolutely. The Step 2 the mic is designed for both individuals and groups.
7. Why is there a processing fee?
A: To cover the administrative cost associated with an event of this magnitude.
8. How many individuals or groups will be selected in each regional competition?
A: Two contestants from each city will be selected to perform at the Toronto Final on April 15 2006.
9. How do I register?
A: You may register by online, by mail or at the registration booth in your city. For details got to the contest rules.
10. How old must I be to participate?
To participate in the Step2themic nationwide talent search, you must be between the ages of 16 to 30 years of age.
